"Our guides weren't trained for this.
They were born into it."
For generations, their families lived inside the caves of Petra — the actual rock-carved dwellings of the ancient Nabataean city. They grew up knowing paths no map records, families no tour company has met, and a version of Jordan that most visitors will never see.
That's not a tour company relationship. That's belonging to the place. And it's what comes with every Coulture Trips experience.

Why this is different
Everything about this is designed around intimacy, access, and the kind of travel that actually changes something in you.
Not forty. Not fourteen. Four. Small enough that every decision is made around your group — not around logistics.
Our Bedouin guides grew up inside Petra. Their families have lived in these valleys for generations. That knowledge doesn't come from a training course.
September through November, March through May. The windows when Jordan is at its most extraordinary.
Locally-owned, characterful, private. Built into your per-person cost so there are no surprises.
One guide. Your entire trip. No handoffs, no strangers mid-journey. They know you by day two.
Natalie has spent over a decade building access in Jordan. What we bring isn't just expertise — it's trust that took years to earn.
From past travellers
I went last year. I absolutely had the best time. Jordan is amazing. The tour guide is truly the best I have ever had. The itinerary is really well thought out… it is hard for me to pick out a single favourite experience. And Petra is just…stunning. That experience is made all the more memorable by the Bedouin Tribe members you will meet. All of my expectations were exceeded. I was literally looking up a Jordanian recipe yesterday because I want to try making it.
Group Tour Guest · 2022
It was one of the best trips of my life. Petra was breathtaking. I literally cried. We had the most amazing tour guide, who I think made such a huge difference. I don't think there was a better person to be a guide for a bunch of women. I was fortunate enough to arrive a day early and went to Jerash. I loved it — would recommend it if you can arrive early or add it to your trip. Damit, talking about it all makes me want to go back!!

Add to your Jordan experience
These standalone experiences are available to book independently — whether you're joining a group tour or travelling your own way.
A guided day inside one of the world's greatest archaeological sites. Beyond the Treasury — into the hidden valleys, the Monastery, the High Place of Sacrifice, and the parts most visitors never find.
An evening around the fire in the heart of Petra, with food cooked by Bedouin families who have called these valleys home for generations. Tea, stories, candlelight, and a sky full of stars.
